Affiliation & Approval
The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) programme is affiliated with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). This ensures that the curriculum and academic standards meet national benchmarks in technical and professional education.
Duration of BCA Programme
The BCA programme is a four-year full-time undergraduate course. The Institute functions from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. In addition to regular classes, the final two sessions of the day are often reserved for interactive lectures conducted by practicing professionals and industry experts, offering students real-world insights and exposure to current industry trends.
Admission Procedure
Admission to the BCA programme is based on the academic performance in the Higher Secondary (HS), ISC, or CBSE examinations, with Mathematics as a compulsory subject. Students from other recognized State Boards are also eligible to apply.
Examination & Promotion
Each semester concludes with a comprehensive examination in every subject. In addition to the semester-end exams, students are continuously assessed through cycle tests, assignments, and internal evaluations throughout the academic session. These internal assessments contribute to the final marks in each subject.
Promotion to the next semester is determined by the overall academic performance. Students who fail in one or more subjects may reappear for those examinations, in accordance with the rules of the university. All subjects must be passed successfully in order to complete the programme.
Grades are awarded based on the grading system prescribed by MAKAUT.
Attendance
To be eligible to appear for the end-semester examinations, students must attend a minimum of 75% of the total lectures, tutorials, and seminars conducted during the semester in each subject—unless officially exempted by the appropriate authority.
Medium of Instruction
The medium of instruction and examination for the BCA programme is English, preparing students for both national and international professional environments.
